At PAWS of NEPA, our mission is to provide financial assistance to pet owners who are struggling to afford veterinary care. We believe that every pet deserves to receive the care they need, regardless of their owner's financial situation.
Our vision is to help create a world where no pet is euthanized or denied treatment for economic reasons.
How We Help
We provide one-time grants to qualifying applicants. Our grants are designed to help with the treatment of non-urgent medical conditions where the pet would otherwise suffer, be euthanized, or relinquished without proper veterinary care.
If your pet needs emergency medical assistance, please contact your local animal hospital.
Applications for assistance will be considered if:
Your pet needs non-routine, non-urgent veterinary care
Your pet has already been seen by a licensed veterinarian
The veterinarian has determined your pet has a good prognosis with treatment
You can show documentation of financial need
Areas We Serve
We serve pets and their families located in Northeastern Pennsylvania. This includes Lackawanna, Monroe, Pike, Susquehanna, and Wayne Counties.
Submitting an application does not guarantee approval
Grants are submitted directly to your licensed veterinarian
Grants are limited to available funds
Requests for reimbursements will not be considered
We do not provide assistance for vaccinations, spaying, or neutering
